Bride & Groom: Ruchi and Jehaan
Every wedding is unique and spectacular in its own way. But there are other factors that make this one even more so. Even though it wasn’t as grand as the couple had intended it to be, it turned out to be exactly as beautiful and gorgeous as they had imagined. A straightforward Mehendi ceremony, their registration wedding, and a cocktail reception were all held in private in front of their loved ones. It was all heart!
Their story in their words:
We began speaking during the pandemic after a mutual acquaintance introduced us. We simply clicked straight immediately. Everything was so natural that it seemed as though we had known each other forever. No awkward small conversation, just love and humour
It was just driving or take out burgers and hot chocolate; we didn’t first meet and move things ahead over cocktails at a pub or restaurant. It seemed more real because it was so pure and unadulterated, with no sign of effort. It turns out that while we were just being ourselves, we were looking for each other all along. Although our life logics may differ, we do have similar beliefs and ideals, and this improves our relationship.
A heart to heart with the Bride :
How did my wedding come to be? The only fancy thing is love! My mother was diagnosed with blood cancer in December of 2021, just as the wedding was getting ready. I had then declared my intention to marry in March 2022. During those months of stress, panic, and anxiety, my mom was in severe therapy, so we were unable to make any decisions, leaving the fate of our wedding up in the air. What lay in store for us was unknown. We choose to be patient and have faith in the universe. I feel so blessed to have the support of my future husband’s family. Through it all, they stuck with us, staying positive and bringing about the best. On June 3rd, 2022, we finished it! Even though we weren’t able to complete everything on the scale that we had originally intended, I wouldn’t change a thing about how anything turned out. It exceeded my expectations and above all of my previous expectations. Now that she’s doing better, my mother might participate actively in the wedding. She went from resting in bed to swaying on the dance floor in a flash. The earth and God are both good. P.S. The most beautiful thing in the world is a marriage that is full of warmth, love, intimacy, well-wishers, pure happiness, and the people who matter the most. The people, not the scale, make your day.
